My name is Martha Powers, founder of Belle Petal Events.  I am an event flower designer, born in Colombia and currently based in Long Island, NY.  From my early elementary school days, I have always had a passion for art, design, and flowers.  Although I was not able to pursue this as a career initially, I found ways to express my creativity in every way possible - from designing my children's birthday parties to redecorating rooms in our home.  As my children grew older, I happily passed on my passion to them, and they now enjoy bringing their own creativity and vision to projects they work on.

 

Upon my eldest daughter's request, I took on the responsibility of tending to her exquisite indoor plants during her absence. The sheer beauty of her plants sparked a newfound inspiration within me, compelling me to sow flower seeds of my own. Ever since that moment, I have been diligently planting hundreds of flowers and nurturing my garden.  Every spring, I eagerly nurture my garden, finding joy in the awe-inspiring blossoms it produces.
